Jon received his first computer, a Commodore 64, when he was in 4th grade.  There was a cartridge labeled BASIC and he had no idea what to do with it after it was loaded.  A quick trip to the library and a scan of the Dewey Decimal System later, he brought home an introduction to BASIC programming book and he quickly realized what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Jon attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, graduating with a BS in Computer Science. 

With over two decades in the software engineering space, Jon brings a wealth of experience to Superior IRA from a variety of industries including healthcare, retail, and financial services. Jon has done software engineering work for Best Buy, Thompson Reuters, Carlson Wagonlit, Menards, Express Scripts, Crystal Sugar and IBM – among others.

Jon has three children: a son and twin daughters. When he’s not playing the role of Uber driver for them most people tell him that he has too many hobbies. He is an avid outdoorsman, cook, lover of live music, and has been casually playing drums in a garage band with some friends.
